4 Dieting Mistakes You’re Probably Making

by Scott Elliot

Are you trying to lose weight but you just feel like the pounds are shifting, despite following advice and sticking to a diet plan? It can be difficult to understand why your body does not want to rid itself of fat while you work hard to drop those extra pounds. Well, perhaps you are making a few of the common dieting mistakes that many people make when trying to lose weight. Despite the marketing prowess of many diet plans, often they forget to tell you very simple details that can be a game-changer for your weight loss regime. Are you doing any of the following, because if you are, you should stop.

  1. Packing in the protein

preview-full-steak-1024x678Because weight lifters use protein to build muscle, it can often be a mistake that people think a diet should be high in protein. While you certainly need protein to repair and regenerate muscles in your body, eating too much of it without using the protein will lead to it being stored as fat. Often men will drink protein shakes when they want to lose weight. This is a terrible idea as they are often also very high in sugar and fat. If you want to lose fat, you have to exercise to use the protein, which will lead to you building muscle and toning the body.

  1. Skipping meals

Skipping meals does not work at all. Although it may give you that hungry feeling that feels like skinny, that is your body crying out to be tended to. When you skip meals, your body goes into starvation mode, which leads it to cling on to fat stored in the body. When you do feed it, it will crave sugar to immediately deal with the low energy stores, so any simple carbohydrates that enter the system will be turned straight to sugar.

  1. Repeating the same workout

Firstly, losing weight comes from dieting, not working out. This is a huge fallacy that gyms sold to people to get them through the door. Working out is good for you, however as it tones all the muscles and gets blood flow to the body helping the system, organs and all, to work more effectively, which aids weight loss. The problem is that many people repeat the same workout over and over. This will do nothing for the body as it will adapt to being able to handle the workout. You have to switch it up and try different routines to activate new parts of the body.

  1. Juices

While you may feel you are ramping up the fiber and vitamins, often people add lots of fruit to their smoothies, ramping up the sugar along with it, inducing high insulin production, which tells the body to store fat. What many people don’t register is that while an apple will make you feel full, you put two or three apples into a juice to get the same feeling. The body struggles to register liquid calories, leaving you hungry and loaded with sugar.

Making mistakes when dieting is all part of the process, but when you find a simple solution that works, you will see the results instantly. Most importantly, think natural, from all-natural supplements such as ‘GarciniaX’ to fresh, organic, vegetables and fruits, the best way to move forward is to cut down on processed food and start to move. Getting the body into good working order speeds up metabolism and aids that tricky process.
